Cool stuff roundup: January 2026

January 10, 2026

Hey y'all!

I'm still alive, just came back a couple days ago from a very relaxing vacation in Uruguay with my family. Here's some very cool stuff I've come across in the last several months!

Music

I am absolutely obsessed with the music of Korean-American artist NoSo. Thanks to KEXP for the discovery—they truly have remained a gem throughout the years to find new artists.

Cinema

I have finally come around to watching Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet, which I've been meaning to do since I found out about its existence in high school.

Shakespeare's original dialog, but in a modern setting and starring Leonardo DiCaprio? I mean, what more could somebody ask for?

This next one I saw yesterday. I am still unsure of what I think of it, except that it's definitely worth a watch.

Despite having a sci-fi premise, the film focuses on the relationships between its characters. Bonus points for the soundtrack that really makes some scenes shine.

Videos

I recently discovered this YouTube channel Ringo Tsuga. I love the animation style, and the videos are kinda hilarious:

Very cool video with Lente, the Dutch indie developer behind the video game Spilled!. I haven't played the game yet, but I'll definitely make some time to go through it ^^
