Cool stuff roundup: April 2025

April 24, 2025

So, here's some cool stuff I've come across in this month of April.

Movies

I've seen two really good queer movies this month. The first one, Fanfic (Marta Karwowska, 2023), is a funny and light-hearted coming-of-age story.

The second one, Mutt (Vuk Lungulov-Klotz, 2023), is a more serious look at a day in the life of a queer person.

Probably the most interesting architecture story I've ever heard—the Manhattan CityCorp building saga:

Stand-up show by Tatty Macleod. Her imitation of French men's booty call is hilarious:

Photography

Two cool photo galleries with very different styles:

Podcasts

I've been following Japan-youtuber Mitsu for a few years, I really enjoy the sincerity in his content. He recently started a podcast series, very cool conversations:

I've also been listening to THE PROGRAM audio series. Each episode has an original plot, the voice acting & music are great, good stuff overall. I'm curious to see if there's an overarching storyline that develops throughout the series.

The Program audio series is a sci-fi anthology podcast set in a future in which Money, State, and God became fused into a single entity called the Program. Each episode is a standalone story focusing on ordinary people inhabiting this extraordinary world. And for them, it is not this future that is terrifying - it is our present.
